Dr. Guojun Hu, Associate Professor (USTC) and Researcher (DSEL), Doctorate Supervisor.
Dr. Hu received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2013 and his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2018. During his graduate studies, he interned at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Idaho National Laboratory. From 2018 to 2022, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher and nuclear engineer at Argonne National Laboratory, receiving honors such as the R&D100 Award and the Impact Argonne Award. His main research areas include the design and development of a general PDE numerical solver framework, safety analysis of advanced reactor systems, and software development. Starting from basic algorithms and underlying frameworks, he constructed a general PDE numerical solver framework, "RETALib," based on which he developed application modules for heat transfer, fluid mechanics, neutron physics, mechanics, electrochemistry, and radiation chemistry, providing reliable computational tools for reactor design and analysis.
