Profile

Dr. Guo Liu is a special professor and doctoral supervisor at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), recognized in the National Innovative Talent Program Youth Project and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Citation Program Youth Project. Specializing in 3D/4D additive and subtractive composite manufacturing technologies for nanocomposites, he has developed new intelligent manufacturing equipment and materials. His accolades include being named one of “China's Top Ten Emerging Science and Technology Figures” and receiving “Outstanding Young Academic Presentation” awards at major international conferences. Dr. Liu serves on the editorial boards of Advanced Powder Materials, International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials, and Smart Materials in Manufacturing. His pioneering work on the world's first ceramic 4D printing technology was highlighted in the European Commission's “100 Disruptive Technological Innovations for the Future” and covered by leading media outlets globally. His 4D printed ceramic samples are preserved in the China 3D Printing Culture Museum.
