ProfileLong Ran, Professor and PhD Supervisor at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). She enrolled in the Department of Chemistry at USTC in 2005, obtained her Bachelor of Chemistry in 2009, and received her Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Yujie Xiong. In 2014, she joined the National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory (NSRL) as a postdoctoral researcher, collaborating with Prof. Li Song. From 2016 to 2021, she served as Associate Researcher and Associate Professor at NSRL. Since 2021, she has been appointed as Professor at the School of Nuclear Science and Technology/National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory. Her research focuses on synchrotron radiation spectroscopy, systematically exploring the application prospects of plasmonic effects in energy-related small molecule conversion and utilization by investigating light-matter interactions in plasmonic systems. She aims to establish a cross-disciplinary research paradigm integrating "synchrotron radiation applications and plasmonic effects." To date, she has published 156 SCI-indexed papers with over 12,000 citations (H-index: 61), including 50+ first/corresponding-author papers in prestigious journals such as National Science Review, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Advanced Materials, Nature Communications, and Chemical Society Reviews.
