Profile
Jie Zhang (IEEE Member) is an Associate Professor in the National Engineering Research Center for Speech and Language Information Processing (NERC-SLIP) at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Before this, he was an Associate Researcher since 2020. He received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Yunnan University, Peking University, and Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), Delft, The Netherlands, in 2012, 2015 and 2020, respectively. His team has won several academic competition awards from, e.g., ChineseAAD of ISCSLP2024, ICMC-ASR of ICASSP2024, IJCAI-ADD2023, IWSLT2023, M2Met2.0-ASRU2023, L3DAS23-ICASSP2023, DiCOVA-ICASSP2022, NIST-OpenASR2021. He received the Best Student Paper Award for his publication at the 10th IEEE Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal Processing Workshop (SAM2018) in Sheffield, UK. His current research interests include multi-microphone speech enhancement, brain-assisted speech processing, binaural hearing aids, distributed microphone array.
