Professional Summary

    Since 2010, Dr. Wenshuai Zhang has been dedicated to developing scientific computing software and advancing supercomputing (HPC) cluster technologies. After earning a Ph.D. in 2015, he joined the Supercomputing Center at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Since 2022, he has also led the establishment and operation of the USTC Branch of the CAS Scientific Data Center, overseeing the curation and management of scientific datasets.

    He has led or participated in developing multiple first-principles calculation packages and Monte Carlo simulation software, as well as various R&D projects supported by national ministries and industry partners including Huawei etc. As of 2024, he holds 5 granted invention patents (two of which have been successfully commercialized four times, and one PCT patent authorized in both the United States and Japan), has published 18 papers, and accumulated over 1,700 citations.
