Investigating the failure mechanism of solid electrolyte interphase in silicon particles from an electrochemical-mechanical coupling perspective

This work builds an electrochemical-mechanical coupled analytical model to explain the correlation between the stability of SEI and the three conditions from three perspectives: electrode structure, electrode interface homogeneity, and battery operating conditions out of the actual battery structure and operating conditions. This work guides the design and operation of silicon-based lithium-ion batteries and provides a reference for the design of future long-cycle-life batteries.
