Tuning the electrochemical performance of graphite electrodes in lithium-ion batteries: Thermodynamics versus kinetics

         This work explores the thermodynamic and kinetic competition between graphite-based electrodes during the reaction process and visualizes the electrode reaction process, elucidating the limiting factors for thin and thick electrodes at high multiplicities. By comparing the kinetic and thermodynamic properties of graphite electrodes by improving them separately, it is found that improving the thermodynamic properties of graphite can achieve excellent results as well, which provides a new path for the practical development of electrodes.
