As the global energy transition accelerates, increasing attention is being directed toward the development of renewable energy sources. Currently, renewable energy options such as solar and wind power face challenges in achieving large-scale utilization due to their inherent intermittency and instability. However, by employing electrochemical methods, these unstable renewable energy sources can be effectively converted into chemical energy, enabling large-scale and stable energy output.

Biomass, a valuable resource provided by nature, offers numerous advantages in the development of energy storage and conversion electrode materials, including abundant availability, environmental friendliness, renewability, and low cost. Therefore, from the standpoint of both economic feasibility and sustainability, utilizing biomass to develop electrochemical energy storage and conversion electrode materials holds significant strategic importance.

In response to these opportunities, our research group focuses on the structural design, large-scale production, and application of biomass-derived nanomaterials in electrochemical energy storage and conversion, such as advanced secondary batteries, flexible energy storage devices, and electrocatalysis.

The development goal of the research group is to cultivate outstanding students and establish extensive and good cooperative relations with friends in academia and industry.
