Abstract:An alternate method for the analysis of a waveguide-loaded
cavity is presented with clear physical interpretations. In the analysis, the opening of a waveguide-loaded cavity is regarded as a kind of discontinuity. The equivalent circuit parameters are extracted by using the mode-matching method. The circuit theory is adopted to calculate the resonance frequency and the external Q-value.
