  • Abstract:In the last decade, one-bit synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging has been proposed, which uses one-bit quantized echo data for scene reconstruction, offering substantial reductions in system hardware costs. However, many existing one-bit SAR imaging algorithms suffer from excessive clutter and artifacts in the imaging results, particularly under low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) conditions, resulting in unsatisfactory reconstruction results. In this letter, based on the orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) algorithm, we propose the optimization model of binary orthogonal matching pursuit (BOMP) algorithm, which facilitates sign consistent reconstruction for one-bit imaging. The proposed algorithm employs a secondary atom selection strategy to enhance the accuracy of atom selection and introduces a noise variable into the optimization model to improve robustness against noise and mitigate artifacts. Finally, both simulation and actual SAR data processing demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves excellent one-bit radar imaging performance at low SNRs while also exhibiting rapid computational speed.
