Aviation Ultra-fine Dry Powder Fire Extinguishing Technology
Dr. Lu Song has developed a halon replacement fire extinguishing agent for aircraft engine compartments with hydrophobic and oleophobic properties. The hydrophobic rate and oleophobic rate of the fire extinguishing agent are both greater than 95%, D90≤10 microns, and the extinguishing concentration of class B fires is less than or equal to 120 g/m3. The research has realized the continuous production of fire extinguishing agents, and was funded by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Civil Aircraft Scientific Research Project. The results serve the development of the halon replacement fire extinguishing system for civil airliners.
