Dr. Wei Fang is an Associate Professor at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He received Ph.D. from USTC in 2021. He subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the School of Earth and Space Sciences, USTC, from October 2021 to August 2023, served as an Associate Researcher from September 2023 to March 2025, and has been an Associate Professor since April 2025.

His research focuses on igneous geochemistry, with particular emphasis on mantle-derived magmatic rocks. Current interests include the composition and evolution of the deep mantle, crust–mantle material cycling and interactions, and the mechanisms and processes of mantle-derived magmatism. Dr. Fang has published a number of papers as first and/or corresponding author in top SCI journals, including Geology, Geophysical Research Letters, Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, and GSA Bulletin.
