Dr. Jiashun Huang, Research Professor, School of Public Affairs, University of Science and Technology of China.

 

Before coming to the School of Public Affairs at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Dr. Jiashun Huang studied and worked at the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, Harvard University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Sichuan University, Peking University, Development Research Centre of the State Council, National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), and also local governments in China.

 

Dr. Jiashun Huang is a Senior Research Associate at Labour and Worklife Programme at Harvard University. He obtained his doctoral degree at the Environmental Change Institute, the Oxford University Centre for the Environment, and the Institute for New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School. He has a broad range of research interests in economics, environment, innovation, governance, and policy. He was involved in the Infrastructure Transitions Research Consortium (ITRC) programme. He was a Swire Scholar at Oxford, and his DPhil study was fully funded by the Swire Scholarship. He received the China Oxford Scholarship Fund (COSF), and also received funding from the GEMCLIME, the European Union's Horizon 2020 programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant. Jiashun obtained his MPhil in Land Economy by Research from the University of Cambridge. Jiashun was also a researcher of the 30th Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition team in Antarctica. Jiashun was one of the global top ten Extraordinary Potential Prize recipients of the 2018 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad.

 

At the University of Science and Technology of China, Jiashun teaches courses including 1. Social Governance & Analysis, 2. Government & Governance, and 3. Social Science Research Methods. Dr. Jiashun Huang supervises domestic and international students, including PhD, MPhil, MSc, and MPA students.
