Prof. Zheng Su is a research scientist (Assistant to the Chief of Orthopaedics - Associate Researcher - Subject Group Leader) with expertise in Bone infection and Immunity. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in P.R. China in 2019. 1 year exchange visit to Queen's University Belfast, UK during PhD period. Prof. Su completed his postdoctoral training and was subsequently promoted to Assistant Professor at The First Affiliated Hospital of USTC in Hefei in 2022. His experience includes over 12 years of research focused primarily on 1) biomimetic agents regulating the body's immunity for the treatment of bone infections; 2) exploration of bacterial biofilm structures; and 3) development of bacterial detection test strips. In particular, his laboratory is interested in advancing research aims to elucidate these complex interactions to refine therapeutic strategies for managing infections and immune-mediated disorders. Promoting the development of public health and safety construction. Such as characterizing the structure of bacterial biofilms, understanding pathogen-induced immune mechanisms, optimizing immunomodulatory adjuvants, tackling chronic infections, advancing personalized medicine, strengthening public health strategies, and developing antimicrobial test strips etc. Published 14 SCI papers in Science Advances, Drug Resistance Updates, Nature Communications and other international journals as the first author, and 7 SCI papers in Nature Communications, Cell Reports Physical Science, ACS Nano, Biomaterials, Advanced Functional Materials (2), Bioactive Materials (2), Nano Today and other international journals as the corresponding author. He was voted in as the national commissioner of Geriatric Bone and Joint Disease Branch, Chinese Association of Geriatric Research (CAGR). He was the editorial board member of Scientific Reports. He was inviated as the Guest Editoer of Frontiers in Immunology. He was elected as the young editorial board member of Journal of Orthopaedic Translationd (Q1), Infectious Medicine, Burns & Trauma (Q1), Biomaterials Translational, and reviewed papers in International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, ACS Nano, ACS Applied & Interface Materials, Advanced Science, Composite Part B, Carbohydrate Polymers, Medical Gas Research and other SCI journals. Chairing the youth project of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the top project of China Postdoctoral Foundation (CPDF), and the cultivation project of New Medicine of China University of Science and Technology (CUSTOMS); participating in the key R&D projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), and the top project of the NSFC. He was awarded the first batch of Anhui Provincial Public Healthcare Institutions Introducing High-Level Talents Award, Hefei High-Level Talents Award, the nomination of Top Ten Scientific and Technological Advances of the Year by the Department of Biomedical Science and Medicine of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and the "Mo Zi Outstanding Young Persons' Special Allowance" of the University of Science and Technology of China.
