Dr. Shangting You is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Engineering Science and the Suzhou Institute for Advanced Research, University of Science and Technology of China. He received his B.S. degree in Optical Engineering at Zhejiang University, and his Ph.D. degree in Nanoengineering at the University of California, San Diego. His research focuses on optical micro/nano additive manufacturing, 3D bioprinting, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and biomimetic devices. His innovative research has been published in journals such as Sci. Adv., and has been granted patents and software copyrights. Parts of his research have been successfully commercialized. His research was covered by media from the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the Optical Society of America (OSA), and the National Science Foundation (NSF). He served as an NSF grant reviewer, and paper reviewer for various journals. He was elected to the talent program of the Chinese Academy of Science.
