主要研究方向为俯冲带流体地球化学,包括:(1) 同位素地球化学:利用同位素作为关键手段限定俯冲带流体的来源、性质、迁移过程与效应;(2)跨圈层物质循环过程与机理:示踪地球圈层间物质循环的过程、机制与资源环境效应;(3)副矿物年代学与地球化学:从副矿物定年和地球化学分析的角度制约关键地质与天体过程;(4)地球壳幔演化:从变质岩、岩浆岩的角度阐明地球地壳-地幔演化过程与机制,及其与表层环境的联系 。

在国内外核心刊物上发表论文100余篇。在NSR、EPSL、GCA、Sci Bull等发表第一/通讯作者SCI论文50余篇,包括Nature Index论文16篇,National Science Review 2篇,Science Bulletin 1篇。应邀为Nat. Commu., EPSL, GCA, Geology, Chem. Geol., Sci. China Earth Sci., The innovation Geosci.. GSA Bull., iScience, Terra Nova等期刊审稿。
