Stable Isotope Laboratory of Ice Core and Atmospheric Chemistry

The laboratory studies atmospheric chemistry in the cryosphere, stable isotope geochemistry, and environmental records preserved in snow and ice cores. We combine ice-core and snow observations, sulfur/nitrogen/oxygen isotope measurements, atmospheric chemistry modeling, and laboratory experiments to understand atmospheric oxidation capacity, sulfur and nitrogen cycles, and climate-environment interactions.
