Mechanobiology of the Cell

Course Introduction: Mechanobiology, a cutting-edge interdisciplinary field, integrates classical mechanics, cell biology, and materials science to study how cells sense and respond to mechanical forces. This course help students 1) explore the history of biomechanics and mechanobiology, from foundational theories to modern breakthroughs, and 2) understand core mechanisms of cell mechanosensing and response through theory and case studies.
