We welcome candidates interested in one or more of the following topics:
* Turbulence simulation and high-performance computing
* Complex fluids and non-Newtonian flow dynamics
* Thermal convection and turbulent heat transport
* Turbulence control and multiple states in turbulent flows
* Geostrophic and rotating flows in geophysical and planetary systems
* Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) and magnetoconvection
**Postdoctoral Researchers**
Postdoctoral fellows will lead independent research projects, develop advanced computational models, and contribute to high-impact publications. They are expected to actively collaborate, mentor junior researchers, and help shape the direction of the group.
**PhD Students**
PhD candidates will conduct original research leading to a doctoral degree. Projects will involve numerical simulations, theoretical modelling, and physics-based modelling approaches. Students will be closely supervised while encouraged to develop independent research ideas.
**Master’s Students**
Master’s students will engage in research projects aligned with the group’s themes, gaining experience in computational fluid dynamics, scientific programming, and data analysis. These projects may lead to PhD opportunities.
**About You**
We are looking for motivated candidates with a background in fluid mechanics, physics, applied mathematics, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
**Postdoc applicants**: PhD in a relevant discipline with strong publication record
**PhD applicants**: Master’s degree (or near completion) with solid academic performance
**Master’s applicants**: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
For all positions, experience in one or more of the following is advantageous:
* Computational fluid dynamics and numerical methods
* Turbulence or geophysical fluid dynamics
* Scientific programming (Fortran, Python)
* High-performance computing
