Research Focus: AI+Science, Machine Learning & Membrane Technology. Target application scenarios include membrane-based carbon capture for carbon neutrality, environmental water treatment, lithium and uranium extraction from seawater and salt lake brines, purification of electronic specialty gases for the semiconductor industry, and removal & separation of micro-pollutants.

(1) Development of novel two-dimensional and micro-nano scale separation membranes (COFs, MOFs, PAFs, mixed matrix membranes/MMMs).

(2) Fundamental research on separation mechanisms in porous separation membranes, including mass transfer, size-sieving, solution-diffusion, electrostatic repulsion, and anti-fouling mechanisms.

(3) Oriented to challenges in environmental protection, energy and resource utilization; relying on emerging two-dimensional and porous materials, research is deployed in environmental water treatment, resource recovery, high-precision separation and related fields.
