Chang-An Li is a researcher Fellow at the Hefei National Laboratory and University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Physics at the University of Hong Kong in 2019. From 2019 to 2020, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Physics at Westlake University. From 2020 until the end of 2025, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the University of Würzburg in Germany. He joined Hefei National Laboratory/Universitof of Science and Technology of China in 2026.
His current research focuses on novel properties in topological states of matter, quantum transport, disorder effects, and non-Hermitian physics. He has published over 30 papers in top journals, including 6 Phys. Rev. Lett., 1 Nano Lett., 14 in Phys. Rev. B (including Letters and Rapid Communications), and 2 Phys. Rev. Research etc.. Several of his research findings have been selected as Cover Articles and Editors’ Suggestions. Some of his theoretical predictions have been experimentally verified.
