June 5, 2026, at the invitation of Professor Xiao Ma, Associate Professor Enrico Sassoni from the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental, and Materials Engineering at the University of Bologna visited the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and delivered an academic talk titled 'Advances in Consolidation of Stones and Mortars by Ammonium Phosphate (DAP).

May 26, 2026, Professor Xiao Ma was invited to attend the 2026 E-MRS academic conference Cultural Heritage Symposium, where he presented a talk titled "The Effect of NaCl Solutions on the Discoloration of Azurite Pigments."

July 15th, 2025, Prof. Xiao Ma was invited by Shaanxi History Museum to attend the International Symposium on "Removal of Degraded Conservation Materials from Museum Murals" and give a lecture on degradation mechanism of pigments.

July 2nd, 2025, Prof. Feng Jiang From University of British Columbia was invited by Prof. Xiao Ma to visit USTC and deliver a lecture on nanocelluose and its potential application in cultural heritage conservation.
