Our research is in the development of high-fidelity numerical models using Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) and Large-Eddy Simulation (LES) techniques. Our research topics can be divided into the following categories:
Solid fuel combustion: Pulverized oxy-coal combustion, Biomass combustion, Metal combustion;
Low-carbon combustion: Hydrogen combustion, Enriched hydrogen/ammonia combustion;
Engine environment combustion: Ignition, numerical model development;
Pollutant formation: NOx formation, SOx formation, Soot formation;
Numerical algorithms development.
