Awards and Honours

Since 1992, he has been receiving special government allowances from the State Council of China;

In 2000, he was awarded the President's Award by Northern Telecom Limited of Canada (then one of the Fortune 500 companies);

In 2005, he was awarded the first "Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award" for Chinese and Overseas Chinese Professionals by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China (100 people nationwide);

In 2006, he was approved as a specially appointed professor under the "Changjiang Scholar Award Program" by the Ministry of Education.

2015 Asian Photovoltaic Technology Achievement Award;

Selected for Discovery's documentary "Smart China" during the 2016 G20 Hangzhou Summit;

2017 US R&D 100 Awards;

Received the Annual Innovation Award from the World Renewable Energy Technology Association (SET) in 2018.

In 2023, won the first prize in the "Dual Carbon Typical Case" selection by the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.
