QGP properties and the QCD phase structure
We study the key properties of the quark–gluon plasma (QGP) and the QCD phase structure, primarily using dileptons (dielectrons/dimuons) and quarkonia (e.g., J/ψ, Υ) as core probes. Dileptons serve as “electromagnetic messengers” with minimal final-state strong interactions, enabling direct access to thermal radiation and the space-time evolution of the medium. Quarkonia are highly sensitive to medium temperature and color-screening effects; their yields, spectra, anisotropies, and correlations provide quantitative constraints on QGP properties. By combining cross-energy measurements from RHIC and the LHC with robust statistical tools and careful control of systematics, we aim for precision QGP characterization and stringent tests of theory.
