Professor Yi-Feng Wang is a chair professor at the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He received his B.Sc. from Central China Normal University (2003), M.Sc. from Nankai University (2006), and Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (2011), where he later conducted postdoctoral research and was appointed a Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellow (2012–2014). Since 2015, he has been a professor at USTC. His research focuses on organic chemistry, radical chemistry, photochemistry, and medicinal chemistry, and he has published over 50 papers in leading journals including two papers in Science, as well as articles in Nature Chemistry, Accounts of Chemical Research, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Nature Communications, and CCS Chemistry. He has received several recognitions, including the XPLORER Prize (2025), Asian Core Program Lectureship Award (2023), the WuXi AppTec Life Chemistry Research Scholar Award (2022), the Outstanding Supervisor Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2021, 2022, 2024), Outstanding Research President Award at USTC (2021, 2023), and the Thieme Chemistry Journals Award (2018).
