Profile

The development of Earth and planetary science cognition often correlates with breakthroughs in frontier analysis and observation techniques. I am primarily engaged in research related to geochemistry and cosmochemistry, focusing on scientific questions regarding the formation and geological evolution of Earth and other terrestrial planets. I develop ultra-high precision or high spatial resolution isotopic analysis methods, particularly utilizing metal isotopic methods to bring crucial constraints.

One of my current focuses is on integrating laboratory work and fundamental theory to conduct in-depth research on Earth and meteorite samples, and samples returned from planetary exploration missions, providing constraints for planetary-scale scientific questions. At the same time, I am managing to explore further in the fields of volcanology, marine geology, and paleogeography, and would encourage and support students, postdocs, and collaborators to investigate new research topics. Students interested in related research topics and considering undergraduate, master's, doctoral, or postdoctoral research are welcome to contact me by email (zhengbindeng@ustc.edu.cn).
